1E. Make sure that you are wearing a static strap for this procedure.

1S. Asegurese de que tenga puesto una proteccion para este procedimiento.

2E. Check the board for input voltage. Some CECB4 boards operate on 12 volts DC and NOT 24 volts AC. A 24-volt AC board will have the bridge rectifier BR 1 populated (BR1 is located next to the fuse holder).

2S. Revise el controlador por voltaje de entrada. Algunos controladores CECB4 operan con 12 voltios DC y NO 24 voltios AC. Un controlador de 24-voltios AC tendra el rectificador BR1 lleno (BR1 esta localizado cerca del sostenedor de los fuses).

3E. Insert a programmed IC into the empty socket US on the board. Make sure pin one of the IC is in pin one of the socket. Make sure the IC has been labeled with the type of software that was programmed into it.

3S. Introduzca un IC programado dentro del socket US vacio en el controlador. Asegurese de que el pin uno del IC es el pin uno del socket. Asegurese que el IC tenga la etiqueta del tipo de programa que se haya programado.

4E. Plug a test 2 x 20 display into the P6 display header on the CECB4 Board.

5E. Take the communication harness from the PC and plug it into J1 on the board.

6E. Connect up the correct input voltage (On the test fixture will be a brown transformer for 24 volts AC and a 12 volt DC power supply. Check the harness labels to verify the output of each.) Then turn it on.

6S. Conecte el voltaje de entrada correcto (En las caracteristicas de prueba sera el transformador para 24 voltios AC y uno de 12 voltios DC. Revise las etiquetas de los cables para verificar la salida de cada uno). Despues enciendalo.

7E. Using a small flat tipped tool, adjust R18 (located by the display conector P6) so that the blocks are clearly visible.

7S. Usando una herramienta pequeña plana, ajuste el R18 (localizado en la pantalla por el conector P6) para que los bloques se puedan ver claramenate.

8E. Put switch 5 on the CECB4 board into normal mode. (This slide switch is located by the yellow push button on the one end of the board).

9E. Press and hold the white and yellow buttons until the display shows "initialized, use VC".

10E. Push the slide switch S 5 into program mode. Wait for the display to show "send to PC".

12E. Make sure that the VENDACOM parameters are set to what is required for this board and then send the data to the board. (If you require information on VENDACOM please read the VENDACOM Manual).

13E. Turn off the power and disconnect the communication cable, the display cable and the power cable.

14E. Place the board with the programmed IC still in it into a static proof bag.

15E. Label the bag with a filled out board-initialized label.

16E. If the boards are for kits then send the boards to the line to be tested and quality checked there.

17E. If the boards are for a line item sales order, then test them on the CECB4 test set.
